Strum Fix Plus 3 - Recent Design Changes, Price Changes.

Evolving Design

Like any new product, the Strum Fix Plus 3 has gone thru a few iterations of the design; most changes have been to improve the reliability. In the past few months I’ve gotten a lot of feedback, and also a had a few customers reporting problems with the strum bar getting “stuck” in the up or down position and not springing back to center.

I’ve made a few design changes in the last couple of weeks to try to fix the sticking issue — the main change being changes to the axle clamps and the addition of tiny “key caps” on the switches. There are now screws that go through holes in the axle such that everything should stay in alignment:

Note that on some guitars the opening for the strummer may not be very smooth or quite big enough to allow enough clearance for the switches and a little filing may be required to make it so the switches and keycaps fit in the opening:

Green areas show where some filing may be required so switches don’t run on edges of guitar body opening
