November Update

Inventory and Supply Chain Update

Good news! (finally) - we have a good stock of parts and inventory of Strum Fix 4s, so those should be readily available from now on. If they do go out of stock it should only be a few days before we have more. Same goes for the Fret Fixes.

In anticipation of pending tariffs and trade wars we’ve tried to stock up on parts which may be affected, but there’s a lot of uncertainty out there and I’m not going to try to predict the future, but we will probably have to raise prices in 2025 to compensate for the increased tariff taxes we’ll have to pay on parts we get overseas.

New Guitar Design Update

More good news! We’ve built a few mechanical prototypes and continue to refine the design. We’re getting some helpful feedback from testers and are incorporating their ideas. The overall structure is pretty well set and we are just tweaking some of the details, so I expect the design will be finalized in the next week or two. We are also working on the electronics and should have the PCB layouts finished in the next week or two as well.

I’ll be posting more details and some pictures on the guitar page in the next few days, so keep an eye on it.

Mental Heath Update

These are tough times for a lot of people for many reasons (economics, politics, health issues etc…) and I’ve spoken before about my struggle with PTSD. I want to encourage anyone that’s struggling to know that you are not alone, and there is help out there. One of the hardest things about dealing with mental health problems is that because your brain is not working right you can’t rely on your own judgement to know what’s best for you (this is especially true with serious conditions like PTSD, dementia, bipolar disorder and others) and so getting some help and talking about what struggles you are dealing with is essential.

For PTSD in particular there are some exciting new treatments that are proving to be very effective and are on the cusp of a revolution in how we treat many types of disorders.

Contact me at scottp@bytearts.com if you want to know more about PTSD treatments, or just want to talk.

Take care everyone,
